What is there to do on the Cape in the Winter? Fine Dinning

The question we are asked most often this time of the year is,” What is there to do on the Cape?”  Enjoying a fine dinning experience is  usually our answer.  Many restaurants and wine shops use this slower time of the year to offer many unique food and wine experiences.  They do themed dinners, cooking demonstrations and cooking classes.  These give you the opportunity to enjoy exceptional food paired with great wines and beers and to learn the techniques of your favorite chef.  Some of the  most interesting theme dinners we’ve attended have been a Beer Dinner, a Champagne Dinner and a Rum Dinner.  We will be following several restaurants and wine shops giving you details on their latest offering.  Today we will be highlighting  The Barnstable Restaurant and Tavern. Located on Main Street in Barnstable Village, this restaurant is just down the street from our Cape Cod Bed and Breakfast, Ashley Manor.  Chef/Owner Bob Calderone and his wife Susan Finegold do several wine dinners each winter, their nest one will be on Thursday February 24th and features Washington State wines.  Here’s the menu, its looks delicious:
