These delights are the focus of three special evenings planned by Chef Bob Calderone and his wife Susan Finegold at their restaurant on consecutive Thursdays: January 14, 21 and 27. Located less than a mile from our B&B, the Barnstable Restaurant and Tavern is known for its creative takes of traditional fare, so you are in for a treat. These pairing dinners are quite popular (we have enjoyed them ourselves several times over the years), so you will want to reserve your spot in advance.

Foods of Argentina and South American wines team up for the first special evening. Each savory or sweet course will be served with a complimentary wine selected with help from Grape Moments, a New Bedford wine shop. The menu features an opening tasty bite, grilled jumbo shrimp salad, stuffed and roasted red pepper with seafood-chorizo paella, grilled beef rib cap with veggie mash, and a refreshing tropical mousse cake.
