Since its beginning in 1927, the Cape Playhouse has seen a who’s who of stars grace its stage. Now in its 89th year of operation, the Playhouse continues its run with top name shows and actors who have honed their talents on stages in New York City and beyond.
The Playhouse, which is associated with the Cape Cod Center for the Arts, is the oldest professional summer theater in America. We’re so fortunate to have it nearby! Guests who are curious about the history and enjoy seeing behind-the-scenes, can sign up for a tour of the theater. During the one-hour visit, you’ll learn how scenes are moved in and out, where they’re built and see memorabilia from years past, among other things.
